The UIL Rubrics help adjudicators maintain consistency as they are judging. The rubric mirrors the adjudication form in regards to the three 'boxes' ( Tone, Technique, Musicianship) on which the performance will be adjudicated on the day of the evaluation. The rubric is partitioned into the five divisions that can be awarded any given concert organization from ''superior/I' to 'poor/V. The bullet points in the rubric reference the indicators on the adjudication form. Take note of the words 'for the classification' entered. This does not mean, however, that a CC middle school performing a grade V piece of literature should be given leeway when it comes to the maturity of the performance.
